Postnatal Pilates #23 | Full Body Flow
19m
In this final class of the series, we bring together many of the movements and themes we've explored over the past few weeks.
We begin in standing with breathwork, gently warming the body with a roll-down to plank flow. From there, we move into bird-dogs to build stability and abdominal strength, followed by push-ups before stepping into a lunge (you can always hold onto something nearby for balance support). We stay in the lunge for scooters and a balance pulse, before resetting with sumo squats and repeating on the second side. The session finishes with a pigeon stretch to release the hips, glutes, and lower back.
Take everything at your own pace and rest whenever you need. Jess is 12 weeks postpartum while filming, but every postnatal recovery is different - listen to your body and do what feels right for you.
Thank you so much for joining me at the beginning of my postnatal journey back to movement. I truly hope this series has helped you feel stronger, more connected, and supported along the way x
